The best strategy is to prevent or avoid arrogant and confrontation.
" 空手に先手なし Karate ni sente nashi" means more than there is no first attack in Karate.

By such as simple definition, a karate practitioner could simply wait for an attack and deliver a powerfully counter-attack. But the goal of being able to defend oneself is limited. Then we have to be patient as much as we can. Patience is the best. Patience is one of the most valuable virtues of life

But, patience has its limits. Take it too far, and it is cowardice.
A combat sport, or karate, is a competitive contact sport with one-on-one combat. Determining the winner depends on the particular contest's rules. Karate, Judo, Jujitsu, Boxing, mixed martial art, Bando, Kickboxing, and Taekwondo are examples of combat sports.

True karate is this: that in daily life one's mind and body be trained and developed in a spirit of humility, and that in critical times, one be devoted utterly to the cause of justice.

Men, women, boys and girls can learn and practice in karate.

We all instructors and students should abstain from all evil, committing murder, suicide, stealing, lying, betraying, sexual misconduct, adultery, polygamy, homosexuality and intoxicants.

Real karate is not only just a sport and martial arts but also has helped and improved humility, patience, self- control, self- confidence, strength of character, kindness, compassion, awareness and self- discipline. We should always be these abilities before and after self-defense.”  We should always try to maintain and promote.

If an enemy were insulting you, you could endure it; if a foe were rising against you, you can be more tolerant and you will be patient as much as you can.

Sometimes you have to fight back is good

1.Love is better than fighting
2.Tolerance is better than fighting
3.Friendship is better than fighting
4.Forgiveness is better than fighting
5.Smile is better than fighting
6.Humility is better than fighting
7.Peace is better than fighting
8.Kindness is better than fighting
9.Compromise is better than fighting
10. Counter attack (fighting/fight back) is better than surrender

Counterattack (fight back) allows you to turn your opponent's strength against them. This skill will greatly increase your abilities in close-range combat, as you'll be able to reflect almost any attack. The stronger your enemy's attack, the stronger your counterattack becomes. But PATIENCE is better than FIGHT BACK. We believe that... as much as patience is the best. Patience is always a virtue. We understand that one cannot be too much patient.

If you're being bullied, talk and REPORT to a responsible adult, such as a PARENT, TEACHER, counselor, or coach. They can get involved to help you.

In some cases, it also might be necessary to get help from the POLICE. After all, if a bully physically attacks someone, it's assault — and that's a crime. If a bully uses a weapon or threatens to use one, it can result in severe penalties for the bully, including expulsion from school, arrest, and even prison.

Holbrook Jackson said 'Patience has its limits. Take it too far, and its cowardice.'  He means “Be patient, but can NOT TOO MUCH patient in everywhere for everything!” George Holbrook Jackson (1874 –1948) was a British journalist, writer and publisher. He was recognised as one of the leading bibliophiles of his time. He was born in Liverpool, England.

Sometimes, though, people feel they/you need to (or want to) fight back to bully men. They/you may feel that they are being physically threatened right at that moment and need to protect themselves. They/you may think fighting back will teach the bully a lesson or be the best way to escape.

In severe cases, you will have to fight someone with a weapon even if you have no weapons, you can be too careful, you can counter-attack / fight back powerfully and more agility.

We all karate practitioners must not be poisoned by the seven poisons such as: greed, anger, hatred, stupidity, conceit, jealousy and malice. We must do to cultivate the power of courage by strengthening our mind and body and overcoming any difficulties in our life.
